This is where the information about the Covenant rankings can be found. This will start off with the basic of the basics, and then go into what specific species ranks and specialists are.
M I N O R S~
This is the lowest and most common rank in the Covenant forces. These are the newly joined members that have little to no battle field experience and often look up to the higher ranks for guidance. That does not mean it is shameful to have a Minor, they might be the beginning of great warriors, because as you know, every expert started somewhere! The holders of these ranks do not command anything or anyone, usually. It depends on the field and species but we will get into that later.
M A J O R S~
In some cases, this is where the Covenant forces have become deadly warriors who have trained themselves to smile in the heat of battle. In others, just by chance of surviving a mission. These warriors battle experience range from knowing how to survive in battle to being the deadliest warrior in the battle. This rank here is where you are often given some form of command. A typical Major would be leading a Lance or File. Having moved up in the chain of command, Majors communicate with some important figures, while for the majority Minors only report to Majors.

U L T R A S~
As a Major only some smile in the heat of battle. All Ultras do. Now you would have a high amount of battle experience, and can consider yourself a hardened warrior. If you made it to this rank you deserve the right to be LOUD and proud for this is the highest basic rank of the Covenant. Here you will often be leading a Creche, or supporting one. Just about every species and field have Minors and Majors, but not all have Ultras. Again, we will get into that later. These ranks will be reporting to VERY high up in the chain of command.
